Not a single cleaning, washing, dishwashing or repairing is complete without household goods. People have long been accustomed to using household tools and household chemicals in their daily activities. That is why such products are considered the most popular after food products, on the sale of which you can make good money.
Instructions
Step 1
Before opening a household goods store, register as a legal entity or individual entrepreneur. The second option is much easier. It allows you to significantly simplify tax and accounting. But if you plan to open a large store that will conclude contracts for the supply of household goods with various institutions and enterprises, then it is advisable to register a legal entity.
Step 2
To open a store, you need a room. It is good if it will be located on a busy street or in a densely populated residential area. Its area should be large enough, at least 100 square meters, to accommodate a sales area and a warehouse.
Step 3
There are two ways to serve customers: trade through the counter and self-service. When opening a household goods store, give preference to the second option. But at the same time, it will be necessary to equip a security system. Of course, it is possible to combine both methods of service by selling small items over the counter.
Step 4
Equip your store. To do this, purchase central and wall racks (their number will depend on the area of the store and the range of goods), 2-3 cash desks, storage cells, tables for packing, carts and baskets for customers. If some of the goods in your store will be sold through the counter, then you will need several more showcases and a cash register.
Step 5
The range of household goods can be very wide. These are household chemicals, kitchen utensils, gardening tools, paints and varnishes, goods for minor household repairs, etc. In addition, during the holiday season, the assortment can be expanded with various home decorations, souvenirs, which, as a rule, are purchased as gifts.
Step 6
Engage in search and selection of personnel. A small shop of household goods at the initial stage will need 2-3 sellers working in shifts, a loader, an accountant and a director.
Step 7
As for advertising, a large-scale advertising campaign should be carried out before the store opens in order to attract as many buyers as possible. Among the means of advertising, you can use leaflets, posting advertisements in print publications, on radio, television and the Internet.
