You seem to have a decent salary, and many acquaintances even envy you, but by the end of the month there is little or no money left … What can we say about saving a certain amount for vacation! What's the problem? No matter how high our salary is, if we do not learn to count money, we will always miss it.
Instructions
Step 1
A situation familiar to many: the salary was recently raised, but it still quickly disappears by the end of the month. However, we "only" allowed ourselves to go to a restaurant twice, buy some clothes, change the lock on the door … If you count all these expenses, they will be approximately equal to the amount by which the salary was raised.
Step 2
The pursuit of new wage increases and career growth is certainly a useful thing, but it would be naive to think that the next raise will solve all problems. With an increase in income, our expenses will also increase: we suddenly notice that it is time to make repairs in the apartment or start building a country house … The way out is to learn how to count money.
Step 3
Give yourself your word from today and forever record all your income and expenses, including cigarettes and gum. To do this, you can use both a simple notepad and special programs like "Home Bookkeeping", which can be downloaded, for example, here: https://www.keepsoft.ru/homebuh.htm. It may seem boring and difficult at first, but it is the first and most important step to improving your economic situation
Step 4
After a month of home bookkeeping, you need to analyze your income and expenses. You will be convinced that there was a lot you could not buy: it was either not useful to you at all, or did not meet your expectations. Such an analysis, of course, is not a reason for self-flagellation and accusation of spending, but it helps not only to start saving, but also to understand what you really need, what you should spend money on, and what not.
Step 5
It will be very easy for you to count money and minimize unnecessary expenses if you have any goal. It doesn't matter what it is: traveling around the world, education for children, or just buying a coat. It is important that this goal is meaningful to you and that it takes money to achieve it. Counting money in order to save for a desired goal is not difficult. But the goal must be, firstly, clear, and secondly, written down somewhere. It seems strange, but a line like “I really want to buy a bright red coat by autumn”, even if written in a notebook, will have a greater impact on us than the thought of a coat. It is best not only to write down the goal, but constantly remind yourself of it - for example, hang photographs of the landscapes of the country you want to go to in your room.
