The birth of a baby is a huge event in the life of a family. A newborn does not need much: a loving mother will provide him with everything he needs. To acquire everything the baby needs, the state gives parents a child allowance. Children's money is not that big, but it is necessary for a family raising a child. There are three types of child benefits issued in the Russian Federation. Each case requires a different approach.

Step 1
Child allowance, or child money, is issued at the place of work of one of the parents. Three packages of documents are possible, depending on the type of child allowance.
Step 2
For maternity benefits, collect at your place of work or for social protection authorities (if you were not employed): - application for the appointment of maternity benefits; - sick leave that you received at the antenatal clinic.
Step 3
To give birth to a child, prepare and submit the following documents: - an application for the appointment of an allowance; - a certificate from the registry office about the birth of a child (issued instead of a certificate from a maternity hospital when registering a child); - a certificate from the place of work of the second parent that a lump-sum child benefit was not assigned if both parents work; - birth certificate of the child and its copy (optional documents).
Step 4
If the mother of the child was not working at the time of the birth of the baby, then contact the father's place of work, the lump sum will be paid there. From the social security authorities, you must take a certificate stating that the benefit was not assigned.
Step 5
In case of unemployment of both parents, you can apply for the appointment and payment of benefits at the social security department upon presentation of extracts from work books.
Step 6
To receive a childcare allowance, before he reaches one and a half years, submit the documents: - a copy of the birth certificate of the child and all previous children4 - an application for leave and childcare allowance; - a certificate that the other parent does not use this leave and allowance …
