Often, Visa cardholders need to clarify how much money they currently have in their account. It is not always convenient to look for an ATM or go to the branch of the bank that issued the card. For such cases, some banks provide a service for checking the account balance on their website. How do you check the balance correctly?
It is necessary
- - a computer;
- - access to the Internet;
- - Visa card.
Instructions
Step 1
Get information about whether you can use the Internet Bank. To do this, you need to contact one of the branches of your bank and find out if such a service exists in this financial institution. If it is provided, please specify its cost. Usually, Internet banking is included in the cost of servicing the card.
Step 2
If internet banking service exists in your bank, sign a special supplementary agreement to the account opening agreement. Also, the employee will give you a username and password for the first login to the system.
Step 3
Find your bank's website on the Internet. From the main page, go to the "Internet banking" section. Enter your username and password in the required fields. If the system requires it, change them after the first login to your personal account.
Step 4
Open the section dedicated to your account balance. If you have multiple accounts, identify the one to which your Visa card is linked. This account number is specified in your card issuance agreement.
Step 5
In this section, you will see the balance of your card. If it is shown with a minus sign, then you need to fund your account. If your Visa card is a credit card, in your personal account you will also see the amount of the minimum payment and the date when you need to make it.
Step 6
Having learned the balance of your card, do not forget to click on the "Exit" button in order to leave your personal account. If you don't, the browser can save your password and an unauthorized person can access your page. This is highly undesirable, since using the Internet Bank you can not only check the balance, but also transfer funds to other accounts.
