Serial number, or IMEI - an individual product code, usually a piece of equipment. It is indicated in the warranty card of the product and, if it does not match, the buyer will be denied warranty service. You can check the serial number yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
The serial number is assigned to the device at the factory and contains information about the country of manufacture, company and some other information. The code is indicated in several places, primarily on the box. Rotate it until you find some barcodes with numbers. The code you are looking for is called IMEI or IMEI1. Nearby (usually on the line below) is the same code with the number 2, which you do not need.
Step 2
The kit should include a plate with several stickers. These are narrow stripes with barcodes and numbers that must match the IMEI on the box. If these numbers differ, you have an incomplete, defective product in your hands. The seller sticks the stickers from the plate on the corresponding margins of the warranty card. He is obliged to fill it in with you. But don't be surprised if the stickers remain intact: in some cases, the seller writes out the IMEI by hand.
Step 3
The third place where the IMEI is indicated is the purchased device itself. Typically, the serial code is located under the battery (like a cell phone, for example). Note that there are several other codes next to the serial one. As with looking at the box, do not confuse the serial IMEI code with the IMEI2.
Step 4
Some devices are non-separable, so it is not always possible to find out the serial number in this way. But, if possible, check the IMEI. The serial code on the purchased unit must match the serial number on the box. If the codes do not match, the seller is obliged to replace the device for you, since it is incomplete.
Step 5
An additional way to find out the serial code is only suitable for phones. Dial * # 06 # on the keyboard. The code will appear on the display.
