Current account is one of the most important bank details. Many people confuse it with the bank card number on the front of the credit card. However, these are different details, even their format is different: in the card number there are 16 digits, in the current account - 20. Instructions

Step 1

A checking account is an account that is used by a banking institution to keep track of a customer's money transactions. Usually, current accounts are used not to receive passive income (for example, interest on income deposits), but for quick and reliable access to available funds. In banking practice, demand accounts of legal entities in rubles are called "settlement" accounts. Individual accounts intended for settlement are called “current”. However, when recording the details of both individuals and legal entities, the term p / s ("current account") is used. Several accounts can be opened in one bank for one client, differing in currency and purpose.

Step 2

Most credit card transactions can be performed knowing only the bank card number. However, for some money transfers and other transactions, it is necessary to specify the current account. Organizations, legal entities can make payments only by account number. Sometimes it catches by surprise, because the bank card number is easy to find, and it will take some effort to find out the twenty-digit account number.

Step 3

In Russia, a twenty-digit numbering system for bank accounts is used. The first 3 digits indicate the number of the first order balance sheet account (i.e. to the current account of an individual). The next 2 digits are the number of the balance sheet account of the second order, it is associated with the constituent entity of the Russian Federation in which the account is opened (according to the classification adopted in the Russian Federation). Then there are 3 digits indicating the currency of the account (according to the All-Russian Classifier of Currencies OKV). The ninth digit is the control one. After it, the four-digit code of the bank division is indicated. The last 7 digits are the seven-digit internal number of the personal bank account.

Step 4

You can find out the current account number from bank documents. When issuing a card, a contract is concluded in two copies, one of which remains in the hands of the cardholder. It also indicates the twenty-digit account number, you can find it at the very bottom of the page, under the lines with the signature and the date of the contract.

Step 5

The current account number is indicated on the envelope in which the card was issued. It is located on the front side in the column after the name and surname of the cardholder. Now the envelope is not issued in all cases - when the pin-code is set by the client himself, the card is handed over without the envelope.

Step 6

If you cannot find the documents, please contact the Sberbank support service by phone 8 (800) 5555550. You can call the operator around the clock. To gain access to information about the current account number, you will have to confirm your identity by informing the operator of additional personal information. You will be asked to voice information about yourself: the name of the cardholder, its number, as well as the secret word that you indicated in the application for receiving the card. Pronounce it (the word) as clearly as possible, spell it (if asked by the operator). When the system confirms your identification, the bank employee will provide your current account number. If the information you have named is not confirmed, or you have forgotten the secret word, you will be refused to provide the requested information. Do not argue with the operator, because his actions, in this case, are absolutely legitimate and are the guarantor of the security of your account.

Step 7

It is convenient to view your current account number through your personal account of the Sberbank Online service. If you have a mobile bank connected and you can log into your Sberbank online banking profile, you can see your current account number there. To enter your Sberbank Online account, you need to enter your username and password. You can get them at an ATM. On the main page of the portal, you will see a list of cards issued to you. In the section "Details of transfer to a card number" you can find all bank details, including the number of the current account. It is indicated in the second line of the item "General information".

Step 8

You can also find out the current account number through an ATM. In the menu you need to select the item "Operations with accounts, deposits and loans." When carrying out any operation during one of the stages, the current account number will be displayed on the screen, all that remains is to fix it and cancel the operation.

Step 9

Another very convenient way that you can use at any time and from anywhere is the Sberbank mobile application. You only need to have the Mobile Banking application installed on your phone. In it, you need to select a card, in the "About the card" tab, go to the "Show details" item. The current account number will appear on the phone screen.

Step 10

It is impossible to find out the current account number if you lose your bank card, documents and secret word. The bank ensures the safety of its customers and therefore does not give an opportunity for intruders to gain access to information about your account. To receive the data, you must prove your identity as a cardholder.
