To determine the material balance, an economic table is drawn up, into which data are entered that describe production and distribute the main types of products in kind. The calculation of this indicator allows you to analyze and draw up plans of natural-material ratios for assessing national capital.

Instructions

Step 1

Decide how the material balance will be calculated. It can be drawn up for a specific period of time, up to an hour, or for the volume of production. Also, one production line or the total capacity of the enterprise can be used.

Step 2

Develop a scheme that will reflect all the indicators of the material balance in incoming and outgoing flows. Be sure to note the different stages of the production cycle that affect the quality and quantity of all process streams.

Step 3

Enter the qualitative and quantitative indicators in the appropriate table. If the material balance is calculated for a small enterprise, then you can stop collecting information at this stage. Otherwise, develop a document that contains all the information about the project or new production. If the balance is determined for an active production, then use the values already obtained during production for the last year before this report is prepared.

Step 4

Accept as a baseline when calculating the material balance, the indicators that were specified in the annual project of the organization's productivity for incoming materials or for a finished product. This calculation must be converted into hourly performance. In this case, be sure to take into account the number of working days per year, the number of shifts per day and the duration of the shift. Be sure to exclude from the calculation the days during which the equipment was upgraded, prevented or repaired.

Step 5

Use a block diagram to calculate the material balance, which takes into account the input and output quantities of production, stoichiometric indicators, utilization rates, losses of manufactured products and standards for output flows. Analyze the results to draw up plans.
