The material balance is an economic table that describes the production, as well as the distribution of the main types of manufactured products in kind. This document serves as one of the main tools in the formation and planning of natural-material relationships in state plans for economic and social development.

Instructions

Step 1

Determine what kind of material balance you will make. It can be developed for a certain unit of time (for example, for an hour), for a unit of manufactured product, for one production line, or for the capacity of the enterprise as a whole.

Step 2

Create a diagram that will reflect in the material balance all the necessary information about incoming and outgoing flows. At the same time, indicate all stages of production cycles that somehow changed the qualitative or quantitative indicators of each technological stream.

Step 3

Draw a small table. It should contain the characteristics of both qualitative and quantitative indicators of all available flows. For small-scale production, you can draw up a material balance only in the form of a table.

Step 4

Draw up the necessary document for all the received project data (for a new production). For the existing production, develop a material balance according to the achieved performance indicators of production processes for the last year before the development of the regulation.

Step 5

Use in the form of an initial value, when calculating data in the material balance, the size of the annual productivity of the enterprise specified in the project for any main product or for incoming material (raw materials). Perform this calculation in terms of hourly productivity. This value can be determined from the annual, taking into account the value of working days per year, the number of work shifts per day, as well as the hourly duration of each shift.

Step 6

Subtract from the number of working days all those days that were associated with the repair or maintenance of equipment in accordance with the accepted system of preventive maintenance.

Step 7

Calculate the material balance according to the block diagram. To do this, use the following data: the composition of the input flows of the circuit, the value of the output of products, stoichiometric indicators, their ratios, utilization factors, the practical values of the losses of the released products at each individual block of the circuit and the standards for the composition of the output flows of the circuit.
