Instructions

Step 1

The red bear is present on almost all paper banknotes, and it is he who should be looked at first. Tilt the bill at a different angle, the color of the bear must definitely change, since the emblem is made of color-changing paint. Old-style banknotes with a gray bear do not change the color of the logo.

Step 2

The coat of arms of the city of Yaroslavl and the city of Khabarovsk on the 5000-thousandth bill changes color from crimson to golden-green when the slope changes. On banknotes of 1000 rubles and 500 rubles, similar changes occur, but only on the emblem of the Bank of Russia. But be careful, counterfeit money began to appear, on which the shade of the coat of arms or the Bank of Russia changes, but it is the color that should change.

Step 3

There should be a metallized thread on the banknotes, which, as it were, dives into the paper. The strip is about 2 mm wide, and it looks like five small rectangles that are visible only from one side. But if you look at the banknote through the light, then the dotted line takes the form of a dark solid strip. Carefully examine the money for this very difference, since counterfeiters have not yet succeeded in forging a metallized thread.

Step 4

Laser micro-perforation (micro-holes) on banknotes is a well-visible distinguishing feature of the authenticity of money. For example, on a 1000 bill, you should see the corresponding number in the gap, which resembles dots. You should not feel roughness to the touch. When the points are pierced with a needle, it means that the bill is fake. The micro-holes are laser-applied and cannot be perceived by touch.

Step 5

The bills should not be smooth, they are somewhat rough. If you notice that the paper is glossy or too shiny, it is most likely fake.

Step 6

And of course, pay attention to the watermark. It is clearly visible if you bring the bill to a light source. The color of the watermarks is not uniform, some areas are darker than others. On the narrow margin, the banknote is the denomination of the banknote in numbers, and on the wide margin - Yaroslav the Wise (portrait). Check money for several distinguishing features, so you can insure yourself against buying a fake.
