Sberbank of Russia continues to pay compensation for Soviet deposits. This opportunity is provided every year and requires the passage of a certain established procedure. In this case, the return of funds is carried out both to direct depositors and to their heirs in the event of the death of the holder of the savings book.

Instructions

Step 1

Determine how much compensation for the Soviet contribution you can pay. If you were born before 1945, then the amount is returned three times the balance of deposits, and if after 1945 and before 1991, then the payment is equal to two times the amount. If the owner of the savings bank died, then the heirs will be reimbursed for the cost of ritual services in the amount of 6 thousand rubles with a deposit of more than 400 rubles. If the amount is less than 400 rubles, then compensation is paid in 15 times the amount of investments.

Step 2

Collect the package of documents that are required to receive compensation for the Soviet contribution. You will need a passport or other identity document and a passbook for a valid deposit. When closing a deposit or in case of loss of a book, you must write an application to the bank.

Step 3

Submit to the bank additionally the depositor's death certificate and documents confirming the inheritance right. Also, in some cases, you may need a document that confirms that the owner of the deposit was a citizen of the Russian Federation at the time of death.

Step 4

Contact the branch of Sberbank of Russia, where a savings account was opened on 20.06.1991. If you have changed your place of residence during this time, then visit the nearest branch of the bank, where a corresponding request will be made. It should be noted that compensation is charged at the place of storage of the Soviet contribution and only after that is transferred to the place of residence.

Step 5

Note a number of restrictions on the payment of compensation for Soviet contributions. So money is not credited on deposits that were closed from June 20 to December 31, 1991. Citizens of the Russian Federation who received three-fold compensation in the previous year cannot count on it this year. In the event of the death of the depositor, the heir cannot be a person born from 1992 to 2011. Foreign citizens cannot receive compensation.
