The easiest way to check a counterparty for the USRIP is to use the electronic service on the official website of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation. To implement this method, you need to go to this resource, click on the link "Business risks: check yourself and the counterparty" located in the "Electronic services" menu. As a result, a window with a special form for filling and searching will open. At the top of this form, you should select the item "Individual entrepreneur / farm", and then enter the specific data of the entrepreneur for the search.
The user is invited to search by OGRNIP / INN (any of these parameters to choose from) or by the full name and region of the counterparty. The first named method is the simplest and most accurate, since it filters out namesakes. In a special line, enter the OGRNIP or TIN of the counterparty, then fill in the verification code and click "Find". In the search results, it will be possible to download a brief statement regarding this entrepreneur.
Written request to the tax office
A more complex and costly method of checking a counterparty is associated with sending a written request to the tax office. In this case, you will need to pay the state duty in advance, fill out an application for providing information, and submit it to the tax authority on your own. As a result, in a few days the applicant will be issued with an official statement regarding the individual entrepreneur. The information in this statement will be completely identical to the information that is instantly and free of charge obtained using a special service, therefore, if possible, it is recommended to use the first described method.
