Subsidized tickets are available only to socially unprotected categories of citizens. The list of directions in which you can get a benefit is constantly changing. A purchase can only be made upon presentation of a document entitling it.
Since 2014, programs have been actively developed and implemented that allow citizens of our country to fly at reduced prices to the most popular destinations. Within the framework of the program of state subsidies for air transportation, the state annually establishes a list of carriers, types of aircraft, airport and ticket price.
Thanks to subsidies, it becomes possible to fly without paying VAT, fuel surcharges and other taxes. The airline carries out transportation at a reduced cost, while the authorities compensate for up to 50% of the ticket price by providing subsidies. The program can be used by any citizens living in the territory of Russia, included in the following groups:
- pensioners;
- youth under 23;
- disabled people and disabled children accompanying;
- children under 12 years old.
How do I buy a subsidized ticket?
You can make a purchase only at ticket agencies or at the representative offices of airlines that sell such a preferential product. Please note: on the Internet you can find information about companies that sell subsidized tickets online.
The peculiarity of the deal is that sales in this direction cannot be conducted through the global web. If there are no representatives of the selected air carrier in your city, in the call center you can clarify the information about the location of the nearest representative office.
To purchase a ticket, you need to provide a passport, a certificate confirming the right to receive benefits (diplomatic passport, serviceman certificate, pension certificate, and others). Tickets can be purchased one way or both at once, but only for the companies' own flights. The exemption does not apply to passenger air travel if the company is solely a marketing agent.
In some areas, pensioners who previously worked in the Far North in hazardous industries are given the right to purchase subsidized tickets.
Features of receiving
Subsidized tickets apply only to flights within our state. The list of directions is constantly being updated, therefore, the actual information should be obtained in advance from the managers of the company. Documents are provided at the time of purchase. It is advisable to do it in advance, since not everyone has the opportunity to buy a ticket at a reduced price.
Only economy class tickets are eligible for subsidies. Please note that tickets are sold out on the first day after they become available. Therefore, it is recommended to track the information in advance. If there is a change in the date of the route and flight before the end of check-in, if the booking code "A" is available, additional amounts will not be paid.
