For more than two decades, entrepreneurs from all CIS countries have been traveling to Turkey for goods, and in particular, for clothes. Prices in this country are much lower than in Europe, factories and various ateliers - as it turned out, enough to sheathe not only Europe, but also America, and the quality is often higher than in China. But for the trip to be successful, you need to know what to buy, how to do it most profitably and how to deliver it all to your homeland.
Instructions
Step 1
If you have never been to Turkey and just started doing this type of business, it will be difficult for you to immediately navigate the range of goods and prices. First, try to go to the markets and shops in your hometown, determine what products from Turkey are in demand, what their price category is.
Step 2
Find acquaintances who have been in this business for a long time and are well versed in the nuances of wholesale purchases. You will receive at least the most necessary information, and if you are lucky, you can even acquire some addresses and names. Or even travel companions, which would be ideal. But don't count on it too much, because knowledge is usually not shared with competitors.
Step 3
Before the trip, call the customs office (or search on the websites) and find out the rules for the export of money and then customs clearance of goods. Calculate whether the costs will exceed the value of your product.
Step 4
If you are satisfied with the information received, pre-book a hotel in Istanbul (in the area where you plan to make purchases) for the day you need. So housing will cost you less. Print your reservation and take it with you. Traders usually complete their task in one day. But if you intend to seriously "put down roots" in this business, it is better to learn everything and develop connections, count on three days.
Step 5
The main area in Istanbul, where citizens from the CIS shop, is Lalleli, where there are several thousand stores selling wholesale clothing. In the area of Merter there are many sports-style goods and knitwear, in Zeytin-burnu - knitwear, T-shirts, T-shirts, people go to Bayram Pasha for sweaters, and to Osmanbey - for dresses. There are textile factories in other places, but there are no wholesale markets. Please note that in Lalleli you will be able to find your way more easily, because there they understand Russian almost everywhere. In other areas, however, only Turkish is spoken, and you will have to look for someone to accompany you.
Step 6
For the first purchase of a product, make a detailed plan - how many things you want to buy (dresses, T-shirts, jeans, underwear, etc.). Set aside a budget for each type of product.
Step 7
Don't shop right away. First take a closer look, go around as many retail outlets as possible, find out prices and assortment. Then adjust your shopping plan.
Step 8
In the same block, look for a cargo company that can deliver goods to your city. But this information can also be obtained at home, from familiar colleagues in your workshop. If you don't have any acquaintances, look for the cargo yourself. First, it is better to bypass them all, find out the prices, conditions, delivery times of the goods and then make a choice. Take business cards from them.
Step 9
Bargain in stores. When buying with cash, you can get good discounts. Ask for certificates for goods - it's good if you manage to get them.
Step 10
After purchasing clothes in a particular store, you will receive an invoice. Leave a business card of the cargo company to which this store will deliver the goods you have selected and paid for. Do not forget to write your first and last name on the business card. Track the packing and shipping of items. Check the sizes so that you do not slip in slow ones. If you continue to cooperate with these stores, you will trust them.
Step 11
After completing purchases, go to your carrier. There your cargo will be weighed and assigned a code. You will pay for its delivery upon receipt, at home, per kilograms or cubic meters.
Step 12
In the absence of experience of traveling to Turkey and the presence of a small amount of money, it may make sense to start trading in Turkish goods that have already been delivered to Russia by large wholesalers. You will not have a lot of profit, but there will be no problems with customs clearance of goods and certificates. In addition, you will understand which lines of products are quickly sold out, and which are better not to take afterwards. Another option is to buy wholesale batches of clothing from catalogs over the Internet. But in this case, there is a danger of getting a slow-moving product from last year's collections, and not always the one that you ordered.
