Every year, self-employed individuals, as well as legal entities, are required to file a 3-NDFL tax return - a special document that serves as a report on the payment of income tax. One of the legal ways to send a declaration is by mail.
Procedure for sending a declaration
A tax return in the form of 3-NDFL can indeed be sent by mail, which is confirmed by article 80 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation. Thus, any citizen can notify the tax office of the payment of tax on annual income without visiting the institution itself. Previously, the document itself must be correctly filled out (taking into account the recommendations on the website of the Federal Tax Service), printed on a printer and signed by the applicant.
You need to find out the address and postal details of the tax office at your place of residence. This information is also contained on the official website of the Federal Tax Service. Now it remains to visit the nearest post office and purchase an A4 envelope here. It is necessary to send the declaration in a valuable letter, having previously filled out an inventory of the attachment in two copies (that is, on a special postal form, indicate the name of the document, the details of the sender and recipient). After verification, the document itself and the inventory are placed in an envelope by a postal employee, sealed and prepared for shipment. The second completed copy of the inventory remains with the sender.
Helpful hints
A valuable letter must be sent with an indication of its value. In this case, it is enough to take as a basis the lowest possible price - one ruble. You will also need to pay for the service of sending a letter with an attachment according to the tariffs in force in the mail. It is advisable to save the check issued later: it will contain a special postal identifier, by which you can track the delivery of the message. You can do this on the website
In addition to postal services, there is another quick and at the same time free way to submit a declaration in the form of 3-NDFL - using your personal account on the FTS website. To do this, you must first obtain a personal username and password by visiting the local tax office. Here it is enough to upload a completed document or generate it automatically, and then send it by pressing the appropriate key. Make sure all your personal data is correct beforehand.
