When calculating the cost of the MTPL policy, please note that from July 28, 2011, the coefficients concerning the territory of use of the car, the coefficient of age and experience of drivers, the coefficient of power of vehicles and even the coefficient of the period of use of the car have been changed.
Instructions
Step 1
Calculate the cost of the MTPL policy using the general formula:
OSAGO = Base Rate * Territory Coefficient * Coefficient of Insured Events * Coefficient of Age and Length of Service * Coefficient of the number of admitted persons * Power coefficient t / s * Coefficient of the period of use. Remember that the base rate of RUB 1,980 is used to calculate the cost of the policy.
Step 2
Find the coefficient corresponding to the area of use of the vehicle. These coefficients are established by law and are different in all regions. For example, for Moscow it is 2, for the Leningrad region - 1, 6, for Volgograd - 1, 3.
Step 3
Calculate the coefficient of insurance claims or bonus-malus. Fortunately, these rates have not changed and still depend on the number of accidents in the previous insurance periods.
Step 4
Please note that from July 28, 2011, the rates for young and inexperienced drivers have been increased. If the list of approved drivers includes persons under 22 years of age whose driving experience is less than 3 years, the coefficient is 1, 8. If the driving experience is less than 3 years, and the age exceeds 22 years, this coefficient is 1, 7. If the age of one of the drivers is up to 22 years, but the driving experience is more than 3 years, the coefficient is equal to 1, 6. For drivers over 22 years old who obtained a driver's license more than three years ago, the coefficient is set to 1.
Step 5
Determine the coefficient of the number of admitted persons. If the contract specifies the final number of people who will drive the vehicle, the coefficient is 1. If there are no restrictions, the coefficient is 1. 8 (before July 28, 2011 it was equal to 1. 7).
Step 6
Set the power factor for your vehicle. For vehicles with engine power up to 50 horsepower, it is equal to 0, 6, over 50 but up to 70 inclusive - 1, from 70 to 100 - 1, 1, from 100 to 120 - 1, 2, from 120 to 150 - 1, 4 over 150 horsepower - 1, 6.
Step 7
Please note that vehicle utilization rates have also increased. Now, when using the car for three months a year, the coefficient is 0.5, four - 0.6, five - 0.65. The rest of the coefficients have remained unchanged. For six months of use, the coefficient is set at 0.7, seven - 0.8, eight - 0.9, nine - 0.95, for ten or more - 1.
