Since January 2017, the Tax Code has allowed taxes to be paid for third parties, for organizations and individual entrepreneurs. Spouses can pay for each other, parents can pay for children, organizations can pay taxes for employees, or a director, as an individual, can pay off a company's debt. You can officially pay by card for another person.

However, if a person has paid other people's taxes, he cannot demand a refund. Only the one for whom they paid is entitled to this.

How to pay tax for another person through Sberbank Online

You can pay through the terminal, through your personal account in Sberbank Online, or you can use the application for Android and iOS. But in all cases, a receipt is needed, which is issued at the local branch of the Federal Tax Service and on the official website of the Tax Service. Using the site is faster, because you can print the receipt yourself.

With the receipt in hand, you need to enter Sberbank Online, go to the "Payments and Transfers" section, select the city where the payer lives, and also - the tab for paying the tax. This tab is called "Federal Tax Service", it is located in the section "Traffic police, taxes, duties, budgetary payments."

In the list of services, you need to select "payment of taxes", enter the index of the receipt that was issued by the Federal Tax Service, indicate the write-off card. If you choose to pay by the receipt index, there will be no commission for the payment. The main thing is that the payment amount is exactly the same as indicated in the receipt, otherwise it will not work to continue.

Before carrying out the operation, Sberbank will send an SMS with a confirmation code, and then a receipt with the stamp "executed" will appear on the screen. The payer needs to print this receipt because it is proof of payment.

And in order to pay taxes for another person through the Sberbank terminal in cash, you need:

  • select the menu "payments in the region";
  • select "search for a recipient of payments" and find him by barcode or TIN;
  • click "on the receipt from the FTS website", and during the payment, bring the barcode on the receipt to the scanner;
  • details will appear on the screen, you need to check them and click "continue";
  • if the amount is more than indicated in the receipt, the remaining money can be spent on other payments by clicking "issue change".

If a person pays by card, the money will be immediately written off the balance. You definitely need to take a check.

To pay tax through the Android application, you will need to enter a password and select "taxes, fines, traffic police". Find the section "search and payment of taxes of the Federal Tax Service", where you fill in the details, and then pay.

In the iOS application, you need to select the item "transfers and payments", then - "fines, taxes, traffic police", find the tax by details and pay.

How to pay tax for a child

A child can be sent a tax if property is registered on it: a dacha, a house, a share in an apartment, land, etc. In this case, the parents must pay. The payment procedure is the same as for an adult, but you do not need to take a child to the department of the Federal Tax Service.

In order not to delay the payment, on the FTS website you need to register the child in advance in your personal account too.

Children can receive benefits, so before paying, you need to find out if there are any compensation and discounts. Sometimes, preferential terms can be provided by local authorities.
