Buying stocks is one of the best ways to invest money. Organizations and individual shareholders often increase their holdings of securities by purchasing shares from individuals. How to perform such an operation?
It is necessary
- - money;
- - passport;
- - copier or UV device for checking.
Instructions
Step 1
Unlike direct purchases on the open market, buying shares from individuals requires a mandatory contract. An agreement on the purchase and sale of securities can be concluded at any registered notary board.
Step 2
Finding out the real price of Russian shares is not as easy as it might seem at first glance. The fact is that trading in the Russian Federation is conducted not by shares, but by points (share ratios) of joint-stock companies and corporations. In order to find out the value of one share, you need to make an official request to the Russian Trading System (RTS). Only registered brokers and the owners of securities themselves can apply for such information. If you already have such shares, you can contact RTS yourself, otherwise you can ask a private person to make a request for sale.
Step 3
Outdated information is available in the company's annual report to shareholders. Typically, such reports are sent at the end of the fiscal year (November-December). You can rely on it within a couple of weeks after publication. When buying shares from individuals, it is advisable to ask for such an annual report (or their filing). Fraudsters cannot have such securities, because only shareholders receive them; most of the townsfolk do not even know about the annual meetings of shareholders and reporting documentation.
Step 4
Using inside information will allow you to find out about the current state of affairs in the company. Attention: in some countries (USA, England) this approach is punishable by criminal law. In Russia, nothing prevents you from getting to know the company's employees and finding out from them about the real state of affairs.
Step 5
Check the promotion for authenticity upon purchase. Each share from the list admitted to trading on the Russian trading system is watermarked, a number of shares have microperforation and UV light. Another way to distinguish a genuine stock from a fake one is to print a copy of it on any photocopier. A copied stock will have a large copy on the diagonal.
