Employees at least once in their lives had the thought: it would be nice to open their own business. Starting your own business at random, without serious preparation, is at least frivolous.
Instructions
Step 1
Try to clearly and impartially assess personal capabilities, abilities, inclinations. It is hardly worth taking on a business in which you do not understand at all or do not feel interested in it.
Step 2
Take a look around, analyze what is happening. Think about what the population is missing. Let's say there are many students in your area. Can open an agency to assist in solving problems, writing term papers, diploma theses. Or there is a high birth rate in the city, and there are few children's entertainment centers. Organize a site or come up with something new.
Step 3
If nothing comes to mind, you can look for ideas in a foreign business. To do this, visit sites where people share their experiences, read international economic newspapers.
Step 4
Conduct marketing research: first, interview your friends, family, and colleagues. Your task is to determine how big the demand is for the goods or services you want to offer. Find out what is the average cost of each transaction and what is the level of competition in this area of activity.
Step 5
Estimate the possible profitability of the selected business. It depends on many factors: the cost of goods or services, the cost of renting premises, wages, transport, the amount of tax deductions. If the results of the calculations show that the income will be insignificant, consider whether it would not be better to do some other type of business.
