If you decide to register as an individual entrepreneur, you will not be able to avoid filling out an application to the tax office. Most of its points are not particularly difficult, but some need clarification.

Step 1
The first two pages of the application form are devoted to your personal data: last name, first name and patronymic, registration address, date and place of birth, passport data, TIN. If you are an adult citizen of Russia, you simply do not fill out the sections on the foreigner's passport, temporary residence permit or residence permit in the Russian Federation and on documents confirming the legal capacity of a minor. In other situations, leave empty items on the passport of a citizen of Russia and / or documents of a foreigner. Also, do not rush to fill in the item on the number of OKVED codes: it is better to return to it later.
Step 2
Leave the third page blank: it must be filled in by a notary who will certify your application (this is a mandatory procedure). But the fourth, dedicated to OKVED codes, causes difficulties for many.
First, think about what you are planning to do, what areas you plan to cover in the future, in which directions your business can develop at one stage or another. For convenience, you can make a list of them.
When this process is completed, compare what happened with the existing OKVED codes. Their current directory is easy to find on the Internet using search engines for the query "OKVED codes".
Step 3
You can skip many sections of this rather large reference book. If you are, for example, a designer, mining is hardly relevant for you. Many of the wording in the handbook may not match the type of activity you are planning. In this case, you can safely take the one that is closest in meaning. There are only ten codes on the standard application form. But if you need more, that's okay. Just copy this page and paste it as many times as you want. Just do not forget to put down the current numbering.
Step 4
When the process is complete, count the number of codes and insert the resulting number in point 8 on the second page. Do not rush to sign: it is better to do it in the presence of a notary. Check if everything is filled in and whether it is correct. Do not forget to indicate the inspection you are applying to in the title part of the first page: after "B" is written "IFTS- (number of the registering inspection) for (name of region or city)". Depending on the region, all district inspectorates or one (or several) can register entrepreneurs. The number of the one where you will submit documents is indicated.
Step 5
It is not necessary to fill in the receipt of receipt of documents (sheet B, last page). This will be done by the tax office.
Well, that's all, the application is ready. Print it out and have it certified by a notary. You can attach the necessary documents and go to the tax office.
