Once you have piqued the interest of potential investors, you will have approximately 25 minutes or less to explain your business plan and present your venture. Every minute counts, take your presentation very seriously.
It is necessary
- - Business plan;
- - a computer;
- - finished presentation.
Instructions
Step 1
Analyze your intended audience. Find out who will be attending the presentation. Try to make your presentation interesting for every investor. Determine what other types of business they are interested in and prepare for what will impress them.
Step 2
Prepare for your presentation in order. Make an outline of the points that will be key to your story. Organize the submission in the same order as your business plan, correct any possible gaps and inconsistencies in your scheme.
Step 3
Prepare your speech for the presentation. Print it on quality paper in large, easy-to-read type. If you do not want to write the full text of the speech, briefly indicate the main points in a bulleted list. You can use PowerPoint to prepare a computerized presentation. You can also show a corporate video, but it shouldn't be longer than 5 minutes.
Step 4
Review your presentation. Cut out lengthy and unnecessary sentences and phrases. Make sure each item is in its place. Practice reading the text aloud by yourself in front of the mirror. Then do a test run by showing your entire presentation to a group of acquaintances. Ask them to rate your work. Rehearse the audiovisual portion of the talk.
Step 5
Practice talking about the enterprise in an even tone throughout your presentation. First, you should give a brief overview of the business, and then return again to the specifics of the business plan.
Step 6
Use visual aids during the story. The most effective presentations are accompanied by 10 to 15 slides, and your comments should be accompanied by handouts that clearly demonstrate the main strengths of the company.
