One of the options for a profitable business is opening a summer cafe. The presence of such a site helps to increase the revenue of stationary restaurants and bars and gives an opportunity to earn money for entrepreneurs who do not yet have their own catering. The open area usually operates from May to September. If it goes well, you can resume work next season.

It is necessary

  • - the status of an individual entrepreneur;
  • - equipment;
  • - furniture;
  • - awnings or umbrellas;
  • - dishes.

Instructions

Step 1

Choose a place where your cafe will be located. Stationary restaurants place open areas at or near the entrance, on a spacious balcony or on the roof. If you don't have your own catering establishment yet, you can choose a place in the park, on the site next to a bus stop or inside the block. The main thing is good cross-country ability. How many people will notice and visit your future cafe depends on its profitability.

Step 2

Apply to your local or city consumer market department. In the application, state your request for opening. Indicate the desired location, range of food and drinks, capacity, required equipment. It is advisable to clarify that your future cafe will not become a problem for the city, but, on the contrary, will decorate and revitalize the landscape.

Step 3

Submit your application two months before the expected opening. Summer cafes usually start in May and end in September. Keep in mind that restaurant owners must obtain permission annually to open a summer terrace. The processing time for an application depends on many factors. It is possible that you will be invited to a conversation and asked to make adjustments to the plan.

Step 4

After obtaining permission, take care of the equipment of the cafe. You will need a canopy from rain and sun, tables and chairs, a bar, showcases. The most profitable thing is to sign an agreement with representatives of beer companies - they can provide branded umbrellas, furniture with logos, equipment for bottling beer and even utensils. And, of course, our own beer line. Keep in mind that you will need to agree with the supplier on the range of drinks that your cafe will sell. If the cooperation suits you, and your work does not receive complaints from the supplier, the contract can be extended for the next year.

Step 5

Economy-class cafes are furnished with inexpensive plastic furniture. But if you're applying for a certain price point, go for a more stylish setting. Wicker chairs or wrought-iron sofas with soft pillows add style to your establishment.

Step 6

Think over the menu. For stationary restaurants and bars, this will not be a problem. But if you do not have your own kitchen, you will have to limit yourself to semi-finished products. Find a supplier of ready-made meals - baked goods, sandwiches, salads, dumplings. Purchase a refrigerated display case and microwave to reheat frozen food. Ice cream will not hurt either - distributors in your region can provide a branded showcase.

Step 7

Install a coffee machine, blender, and beverage cooler. Although the bulk of the café's revenue comes from buyers of draft beer, do not forget about lovers of coffee, cold juices, and milkshakes. It is not bad to buy a brazier or a grill - this will significantly expand the menu of your cafe.
