In recent decades, China has turned from an agrarian country into an economic monster, producing a huge amount of a wide variety of goods. Today, trade between Russia and China has become more civilized, but crossing the Chinese border is still one of the most difficult tasks for wholesalers.
Instructions
Step 1
Whether the border crossing will be successful depends largely on the preliminary preparation, so take the conclusion of the contract with all seriousness. Even at this stage, it is necessary to accurately calculate the value of the cargo, including duties, freight, fees and other costs. In this case, the Chinese side will most likely be a bad helper for you.
Step 2
Find a good translator who can correctly translate all the nuances of the contract. The Chinese mentality makes it possible to distort information at any level, and the manufacturer always wins. He will try to shift any responsibility to you, including the blame for incorrect registration.
Step 3
Pay special attention to the quality of the goods from China. The Chinese have their own standards, which differ significantly from the requirements for Russian manufacturers. All goods must undergo inspection (certification), otherwise they will not be released from the country. Please note: when exporting goods with certificates in the "A" form, you can get a 50% discount on the payment of duties.
Step 4
Try to follow the packaging and sealing of the goods at the dispatch stage, otherwise there is a high probability of a large number of defects. If this is not possible, do not take the goods for 100% prepayment, it will be difficult to get the money back. In addition, improper weighing and measurement of cargo can lead to its "freezing" at customs. It is desirable that the manufacturer is responsible for this (stipulate this in the contract).
Step 5
You should be at customs with a full package of correctly executed documents. If the amount paid to the supplier does not correspond to the declared value and the invoice, you may be accused of illegal transfer of money. If you exceed the declared weight of the container, you will be recognized as a smuggler. At the slightest suspicion, you can be detained for 48 hours, and even check all bank payments and transactions.
