The hryvnia is the national currency of Ukraine. It has a UAN code and a digital code - 980. The hryvnia became the currency of Ukraine only after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1996. Currency exchange in Ukraine takes place at a fixed or floating rate. The first is approved by the government of the country, and the second is used on commercial exchanges. At a certain rate, the hryvnia is converted into rubles - the national currency of the Russian Federation.
