Instructions

Step 1

Find out which categories of readers will make up the target audience of your magazine. Conduct research to study the demand for similar format publications in your area. Study the experience of competitors, taking into account their strengths and weaknesses. Choose a title for your publication. Submit documents to Rospatent to register the name.

Step 2

Determine the circulation of your future edition. A magazine (or other publication) with a circulation of more than 1000 copies must be registered with the Ministry of Press of the Russian Federation. Therefore, prepare documents for registration. Indicate in the application for registration of the printed publication: - information about the constituent documents of your individual entrepreneur or LLC;

- the registered name of the media;

- the address of the editorial office;

- the language of the publication;

- the form of distribution of the publication;

- the territory of its distribution;

- subject matter or specialization of the publication;

- frequency of release and maximum volume;

- information about the sources of investments;

- information about other publications of which you are the founder (if any). Be sure to decide in the process of registering a magazine, what kind of publication you will have - advertising or informational. This is necessary for calculating future taxes; an information magazine pays less taxes, and advertising in it should be no more than 40%.

Step 3

Sign a contract with one of the full color printers in your region. Please note: most printers only enter into one-time service contracts. Sign an agreement with the Ministry of Communications for the subscription and sale of your magazine.

Step 4

Hire journalists, photographers and designers. The interview should take place in several stages. Enter into fixed-term employment contracts.

Step 5

Enter into agreements with advertisers, information about products and services of which will be relevant in your magazine. Agree through an advertising agency to cooperate with radio and television. Register your journal's domain on the Internet.

Step 6

Conduct a presentation of your publication with the help of an advertising agency. Issue the first issue of the magazine. Publish it on the Internet so that readers of the electronic version of the magazine can leave their comments and wishes.

Step 7

Maintain feedback with readers by publishing letters and reviews on the pages of the magazine.
