Now there are many different publications for women. They are dedicated to various topics: fashion, cooking, business, and even men. Therefore, before starting the release of a new magazine, it is worth considering what exactly is lacking in modern women's periodicals.
Instructions
Step 1
The release of any media begins with a study of the product market. The niche of women's publications is sufficiently filled. Russian and foreign translated magazines, publications about fashion, health, beauty, food are published in print. There are women's newspapers and magazines about gardening and handicrafts. Therefore, it is worth starting the release of a new edition only when you are sure of its relevance, because it will take enough time, effort and money.
Step 2
Study your audience. It will be easier to publish a magazine designed for a city or region, since there are many all-Russian publications, and they all firmly hold their positions. Typically, audience research is commissioned by special agencies. They calculate the size of the audience, age, its various characteristics and needs. The content depends on this, that is, the content of your publication.
Step 3
If the circulation of the magazine is more than 1000 copies, it must be registered. This is done by Roskomnadzor, that is, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media. In addition to paying the fee (about 2-4 thousand rubles), you will have to collect some documents. This is information about the founder, publisher, copies of the passport, receipts for payment of state fees, information about your publication (including its circulation, subject matter, frequency, editorial address, sources of funding, etc.). The journal will be registered one month after submitting the application.
Step 4
Now the most difficult and responsible work begins. It is necessary to recruit workers - journalists who will write for the magazine, a layout designer, an advertising manager. An accountant, a secretary is needed for accounting. Your main task is to comply with the frequency of your magazine. Prepare high-quality material for each issue, submit it to the printing house in a timely manner, negotiate with kiosks and retail outlets on the distribution of the publication. At first, for these purposes, as well as for the payment of salaries to employees and the rent of the editorial office, significant funds will be required. But, if you constantly monitor the needs of the audience, correctly attract advertising, then over time your media will become self-sufficient and will start generating income.
