“I have a decent salary, but by the middle of the month I'm broke. Money flows away, as if through fingers. Familiar situation? The ability to spend money correctly, and not let it go to waste, is made up of numerous factors, some of which we will pay special attention to.
A firm "no" to annoying ads
Smiling people in commercials every day, hourly, every second try to impose goods on us, from cheap cookies and chocolate bars to fabulously expensive cars. If, when you first hear about a new tasty or simply interesting product, you don't go to the store right away, that's already good. However, often, seeing, for example, advertised chips on the counter, we do not hesitate to put them in the basket. After all, they are advertised, we have already seen them on the screen and seem to be "familiar" with them - why not buy? Remember that the goal of advertising is to increase sales. For this, bright pictures are used, whole mini-stories are invented, the product is shown in the most favorable light - and all so that you go and buy it. Therefore, before grabbing a packet of "new unusual flavor" chips, ask yourself the following question:
Do I really need this?
Always ask this question, whether in a grocery store, jewelry or fashion boutique. Do you really need a kilogram of potatoes? Most likely, because you can cook so many different dishes from it. And what about expensive blue cheese, a package of fresh cakes, a jar of red caviar? It is quite possible to live without such products, while, in the case of cakes, retaining your figure and saving a decent amount of money (and this is about cheese and caviar). You have the right to be indignant: after all, sometimes you want to pamper yourself and eat a plate of boring borscht with a couple of sandwiches with caviar. The key word here is sometimes. If your budget is not limitless, you can buy caviar for the holidays. But not for every day.
Savings that do not reach the point of absurdity
In search of summer sandals, which are likely to get bored and out of fashion by the end of the season, you go to an inexpensive shoe store and buy a nice pair of shoes there at a reasonable price. Referring them to the season and noticing that the sandals are already "asking for porridge", you throw them away with a clear conscience. The shoes are already tired and have served their purpose. The situation is quite understandable, in such cases it is possible to save money (I will not mention the harm that cheap shoes can do to your feet - that's another story).
One more case. You urgently need winter boots, and you don't want to shell out a few thousand on them. And you go to that very cheap store again, buy boots for, say, a thousand rubles and rejoice at the successful savings. But after a week, the heels of the shoes begin to loosen, and the sole, which generally lives an independent life, gradually separating from the boots. So have you really saved? Wouldn't it have been better to give more money, but for high-quality shoes that will last more than one season? Everyone decides for himself.
The ability to spend money is the ability to deny yourself something, and buy something useful, on the contrary. Be attentive to your spending, and you will soon notice that by the end of the month the wind is not whistling in your wallet, but there is still some amount left.
