A consumer cooperative is an association of citizens or legal entities on a voluntary basis. Step 1

Start creating a credit cooperative by forming an initiative group of three to five people. This core of the future organization must clearly understand the goals and objectives of uniting shareholders. A credit union is created to meet the needs of its members for savings and loan services. The financial basis of a credit cooperative is the consolidation of personal finances for their subsequent joint use under the management and control of all team members.

Step 2

Include a person with the basics of financial literacy or experience as an accountant (economist) in the initiative group. Since the activity of a consumer cooperative will be related to the management of financial flows, such knowledge will be very useful.

Step 3

Work with other members of the asset among potential members of the cooperative, explaining to them the prospects for unification and the benefits of cooperative financial management. At the same time, determine the principles of building an organization, namely: a territorial or industrial community will become the basis of the association.

Step 4

Organize and hold the first meeting of future members of the cooperative who have expressed a desire to participate in its creation. Notify all interested parties about the location, time of the meeting and the agenda.

As you prepare for the meeting, focus on drafting the charter of the credit union. Pick up several options for the name of the cooperative, find a legal address. Determine in advance the possible size of the entrance fee and share, as well as the loan program. When preparing documents, use the provisions of civil legislation regulating the activities of consumer cooperatives, as well as special laws on credit cooperatives.

Step 6

After the first (organizational) event, schedule a time for the Constituent Assembly. On his agenda, put the questions about the establishment of a credit consumer cooperative, the adoption of the Charter, the election of the governing bodies of the organization. Appoint the chairman and secretary of the meeting, ensure clear minutes.

Step 7

After the approval of the results of the meeting by the members of the newly created cooperative, prepare the documents necessary for its state registration, including the Charter, minutes of the Constituent Assembly, a receipt for payment of state fees and an application. Submit the completed documents to the tax authority at the location of the legal address of the cooperative.

Step 8

After completing the registration procedure, register all relevant types of accounting, including off-budget funds. Open a bank account by notifying the tax authorities within five days. Now the newly created consumer cooperative has the right to carry out the activities provided for by law to provide financial assistance to its members on a reciprocal basis.
