There are many ways to transfer money abroad, for example to Switzerland. And in order to choose the most suitable for your situation, it is advisable to learn more about each of them.
Instructions
Step 1
For urgent transfers, use the services of one of the international systems, for example, Western Union. Money transfer through this system can be done at a bank or post office. A special yellow sticker in the name of the company will notify you that such payments are accepted there. Tell the operator the name, surname and city of residence of the person to whom you are sending money. Pay the cost of the service and deposit the amount for transfer through the cashier. You will be given a receipt with the shipment code. Tell it to the person who will receive money in Switzerland.
Step 2
In addition to Western Union, there are other organizations involved in money transfers to Switzerland. Use their services if the person to whom you are sending money lives near their offices. For example, funds sent through the Contact system can be received in Bern, Lausanne, Zurich and Geneva.
Step 3
If you want to save on the cost of the transfer, make it through the bank. To do this, open an account with one of the Russian financial institutions. Then come to a bank branch and fill out an application for transferring a certain amount to a Swiss account. To do this, you will need not only the account number, but also the name of the bank, its branch where the account was opened, as well as the SWIFT code. The funds will become available to the Swiss recipient in three to five business days.
Step 4
Bring the money with you if you are traveling to Switzerland in person. But keep in mind that duty-free and without a declaration, you can only transport an amount equivalent to three thousand euros.
