It is good to open a poultry farm in areas where from time to time the population feels interruptions in the production of poultry farms. If your business intuition has already suggested to you that it is time to deal with chickens, ducks, geese and quails, then immediately start registering an enterprise. Even if you are planning to breed ostriches, the procedure for organizing production is the same. You will be considered a supplier of agricultural products.

Step 1
If you plan to engage in breeding young poultry, then choose a site for the construction and organization of a farm further from large settlements and neighboring farms. There is a poor ecology, a high probability of infectious diseases of birds, which will worsen the process of breeding hens and other poultry.

If you plan to establish commercial production in order to provide the population of the city with the products of your poultry farm, then you better lease a site that is located as close as possible to the points of sale.

If you have to organize a commercial farm, then for its profitability you need to grow from 500 to 800 individuals at the same time. In advance, before starting the construction of the poultry house, draw up a contract for the supply of poultry. Choose a reliable producer that maintains breeding in your area.
Step 4
Remember that the bird does not tolerate drafts. Consider this when building your house. Close drafts when remodeling another room. For young animals, prudently make a heated room, although in the summer it is enough to equip a large aviary. Calculate the size of your house based on the planned number of flocks. For example, hens and quails prefer to live crowded, so the area of the poultry house for these species may be smaller than for geese and turkeys.
Step 5
Consider purchasing the equipment you need. Calculate the number of feeders so that all birds have access to food. Make sure that there are roomy cold stores in the warehouse. A modern drinker and incubator will increase the profitability of your production.
