A person can realize his potential only when he has a general idea that he is ready to bring to life. Only in this case, to the question: "Is there a meaning in your life?" he will be able to answer positively. Of course, such an idea must be difficult, sometimes even unattainable, in order to become what people call "the work of a lifetime."
A correctly set goal in life should be real and at the same time infinite. For each person, taking into account his own, personal potential, character and priorities, the work of his whole life can be his own. Someone will set himself the goal of solving Fermat's theorem, and someone - raising children. But this does not mean that someone's goal has priority or great value. Any long-term task that a person devotes his life to, if it is not aimed at the detriment of anyone, commands respect.
Setting a goal in life is only the first step to unlocking and realizing your potential. In the second step, you must learn to draw up realistic work plans of action that will help you achieve your goal. After all, you can endlessly dream and build castles in the air without taking any action, but there will be no results from this. Start planning your day, week, month, year. Think of each period of time as another stepping stone that brings you closer to making your dreams come true.
Do not give up in the face of difficulties and always do what you set out to do. Choose an algorithm for those actions that will lead you to your ultimate goal. Set realistic tasks, gradually increasing the degree of their complexity. Move progressively, but allow for the possibility of a detour and a temporary retreat that will help you build up strength for the next leap forward. Know how to take a punch and not panic when something does not go as you expected.
Cultivate efficiency in yourself and don't be lazy. Don't let success be an excuse to take a break and unwind, you might just miss a time or a chance. Be constantly in good shape, striving for your goal.
Thus, the work of your entire life, to which you devote yourself, will become the incentive thanks to which you will constantly be in motion: to develop and improve. When you have it, you will already be simply sorry for the time spent in fruitless dreams and laziness on the couch. Constant movement is the eternal youth of spirit and consciousness, therefore, the work of your whole life will fill your existence with meaning, and you will always have something to strive for.
