This nomenclature was developed by customs legislation in 1995; five years later, some clarifications were made to it. Step 1
Please note that the product range consists of 21 sections: mineral products, weapons and ammunition, textiles and textile products, etc. There are also groups for a more detailed description. For example, in the Mineral Products section, you will see groups such as Salt; sulfur; stone”,“Slag, ash and ores”,“Oil, mineral fuel”. Each product has a ten-digit code that must be indicated on customs declarations.
Step 2
To determine the name of a product, you need to know the material from which it is made; the functions that he can perform; the degree of its processing. For example, let's say you decide to send baby Barbie dolls through customs. Find the section corresponding to this classification. As you can see, there is no dedicated section. This means that this product should be viewed in the "Miscellaneous Industrial Products" section. Here you will see that group # 95 is called Toys, Games.
Step 3
Find the item "Tricycles, scooters, other toys." Here you will see a sub-item "Dolls depicting only people". Select the appropriate ten-digit code and product name.

If you want to know the name of a product for sale in the Russian Federation, look at the information that is written in technical documents (passports, instructions, certificates, etc.). For example, let's say you decide to sell a printer. As a rule, there are a lot of all kinds of printing devices on the market of goods, the price of which varies. Therefore, the name of the product must also include the brand, for example, a Canon printer. But here, too, there is a fairly extensive assortment, so indicate the brand, for example, the Canjn pixma mg5140 printer. Try to do the same with other product groups.
