Buying used office furniture can be done in two ways. The first is by independently searching for office sales, and the second is by contacting a specialized company. Which one is preferable? You decide.
When opening a new office of a young company, the question of purchasing furniture always arises. And this question is how to save money. The fact is that new office furniture is quite expensive, especially considering that not only the director needs a chair and a table. Even for a small room, a very substantial amount comes out, which not all novice businessmen have at their disposal. But there is one not very well-known way - to buy used furniture. But where can I get it?
Purchase from offices
Since any business seeks to minimize costs, it often happens that when you change an office or furniture, the old one is not thrown out, but sold. This option is the most promising, since things in good condition are often sold for a pittance. In a word, you can save a lot.
The other side of the coin is that you have to search for a long time. Such furniture is usually sold out very quickly, and, having found an offer, there is a great chance that there are only two tables and a chair left. But even this should not be neglected, because it comes out very cheap anyway.
The second difficulty is pickup. It is better if you have the opportunity to take out the furniture yourself, without ordering a truck. In this case, you will be able to save a lot of money. If you feel that you are ready to spend time on long searches and calls on this issue, then the choice will justify itself.
Purchase from companies
For those who do not want to run headlong through the city with armchairs and bedside tables from office to office, there is a more expensive, but stably working option. This is the purchase of furniture from companies that specialize in this. Surprisingly, there are many companies that sell used furniture. The cost will, of course, be higher than when buying from hands, but on the other hand, there is a fairly large assortment.
These companies usually offer shipping, so you don't have to worry about it. But there are also some nuances here. Furniture that looks good will cost quite a lot, almost like a store. If we compare the purchase from the office and the purchase from the company, then in the first case, you can save up to 40 percent (including transportation), and in the second, only 10-15 percent.
Based on this, we can safely say that buying from hands is more difficult, but cheaper. It is better to choose based on the amount of funds, or use mixed costs - partly to buy at sales, and part to be in the company.
