Success in the tourism business depends heavily on experience and established connections, therefore, the owners of travel agencies are often yesterday's managers who have perfectly mastered the principles of working in this industry. It is necessary

  • - a small office with an area of 20 square meters;
  • - a package of constituent documents;
  • - two tour sales managers;
  • - a well-thought-out marketing concept;
  • - a variety of advertising media.

Instructions

Step 1

Start preparing for work by looking for a room - the future base for your travel agency, the rent of which will take a large part of its potential income. A place for a travel company is not of primary importance, but it is very important - the contingent of your clients should be formed including from people passing by, especially if your services are designed for mass demand, and not for elite clients. A successful solution today can be safely called the placement of a travel agency within the walls of a large shopping and entertainment center - and the traffic in it is high, and rental rates are often more acceptable, the main thing is to be able to organize a good communication system.

Step 2

Complete the paperwork required to become a full-fledged white tourism firm. Compulsory licensing of the activities of such firms has been canceled, so it will be enough to choose any organizational and legal form (even individual entrepreneurship is suitable) and provide the necessary package of documents. Already during the registration process, it is important to clearly identify the types of activities that your company will be engaged in, and correctly indicate them in the constituent documents.

Step 3

Invite a well-known tour sales manager to work in your agency (if your past was also associated with tourism, then you probably know such people). A young travel company usually employs two managers; directors are hired if the owner himself does not feel sufficiently experienced in the industry. The option is not excluded that the hired manager will bring employees with him, in any case, it would be advisable for him to recruit personnel with this option.

Step 4

Develop a marketing concept that will allow your travel agency not to get lost among dozens of similar ones and to look attractive to customers. First of all, you need to find and emphasize a certain feature of your company that makes its services exclusive to some part of the target audience. The most obvious way is to offer tours that, in principle, are not available from other travel service providers. Having found your "zest", you need to then beat it in all available advertising means, up to promotions.
