Food and groceries make up the bulk of the average household's spending. Therefore, optimization of food costs will save a lot of money on other necessary purchases.
Instructions
Step 1
Create a menu and, based on it, a shopping list. This will allow you to avoid unnecessary spending in the store on not always useful things, as well as on purchased semi-finished products. After all, there will no longer be a situation when you want to eat, but roll in a ball in the refrigerator, and purchased dumplings, cutlets, or even not cheap food to order are used.
Step 2
Buy goods for promotions. For example, supermarkets regularly display certain items at less than usual prices. Of course, sometimes the promotional price is higher or equal to the average for a particular product, but sometimes it is possible and very profitable to purchase something. If you see that, for example, the price of chicken has been reduced, and this is just a promotion and the chicken is fresh, then why not take a few for the next dinner and freeze. This rule applies to both purchases for the next few days and the preparation of stocks.
Step 3
Buy goods of your own production in supermarkets. Often the quality of such goods is no worse than their expensive counterparts, and the price is significantly lower. Of course, there are not very high-quality counterparts, or you simply may not like the taste, but you should not be afraid to try. This will help you save money.
Step 4
Develop your culinary talent and try new recipes from budget meals. No one wants to eat boiled potatoes every day, but there are many recipes for using them. Thus, you can often eat some budget products, while enjoying the prepared dishes.
Step 5
Make blanks. Even if you do not have your own summer cottage, many products can be purchased at a low price in the fall. Some of this can be stored in the basement, some can be frozen, and various jams and pickles can be prepared. And you do not have to spend money on expensive vegetables in the winter for soup, for example, since there will be a ready-made mixture of vegetables in the freezer.
Step 6
Try not to buy bad stuff. Products such as crackers, chips, soda will not bring absolutely any benefit to the body, but only harm and damage it and your wallet. And you can cook various desserts yourself, they will be tastier, healthier and cheaper than purchased ones.
Step 7
Replace expensive products with cheaper ones. Protein can be obtained not only from beef, but from chicken meat, which is 2 times cheaper than beef. There are different types of fish, it is not necessary to cook trout or salmon. You can, of course, purchase such products sometimes for a change, but the main menu can be composed of cheaper products with approximately the same usefulness.
