Instructions
Step 1
Select the bank in which you would like to open an account and a Maestro plastic card. Remember that all transactions using this card are carried out with a mandatory password and are accepted for settlements only at points of sale marked with the Maestro sign. Therefore, give preference to a bank with a large ATM network, if suddenly you urgently need to cash out. Please note that you will not be able to withdraw cash using another bank's ATM. Also keep in mind that the Maestro card, like Visa Electron, does not allow transactions in online stores.
Step 2
Contact the bank of your choice with a request to issue a Maestro plastic card for you. Fill out the application in the prescribed form, take into account the fact that information about the name and surname of its holder may not be applied to the card, but it is mandatory to indicate this data in the application. Remember that you must have an identity document with you. The bank employee will make a copy of the first page. The Maestro card can be obtained even by persons who have reached the age of 14 and have managed to obtain a passport.
Step 3
Receive the card, remember the pin-code printed on the opaque part of the envelope under the protective layer. Give it only to those people who will use this card. Fund your account; it is this amount of money that you can operate by paying for purchases and paying for services.
Step 4
Order a Maestro card online on the website of the selected bank, if this option is available. Fill out the application, attach a copy of the first page of your passport. Some banks provide the possibility of courier delivery of the card to the recipient, others require personal presence when drawing up the contract, these conditions are written on the card.
Step 5
Call the bank branch and order the card by phone. You can also leave a request for a call from a bank employee on the website.
