The balance of an actively used bank card is a changeable thing. Sometimes it is very difficult to keep track of the amount of funds that goes to it and is spent on purchases. You can find out how much money is left in the account at the moment in different ways.

The easiest way to check your account balance is to check it using an ATM. Find an ATM (preferably belonging to the same bank as the plastic card) and insert the card into it. Then enter her pin code. After that, when the ATM accepts the PIN code, click on the button opposite the "Check balance" command (or "Find out the balance on the account"). Wait a while for the request to be executed, then select the type of information submission by the machine: display it on the screen or print out a receipt. Depending on your choice, the balance will either be displayed on the screen or printed on the ATM receipt.

You can also find out how much money is left in the account using the SMS-informing service of the cardholder. The connection of this service is made when receiving a plastic card at the bank, or after writing a corresponding application at the branch of the bank where you received the finished bank card. As a rule, SMS informing service costs about 30-50 rubles per month. After activating the service, you will be given a special booklet containing instructions on how to use this service. Usually you need to dial the following SMS: 01 (space) the last five digits of the card. After that, SMS must be sent to the number indicated in the booklet, which is individual for each telecom operator. SMS with the answer will come in a few seconds or minutes, depending on the workload of the service.

You can also find out the balance on the account at the branch of the bank you are a client of, in the window for working with bank cards. However, in this case, you will need to present your passport, bank card and wait a certain amount of time. It is recommended to use this method if no ATM in the vicinity is working and the SMS informing service is not connected.
