Step 1

Step 2

Read Federal Law No. 288-FZ of December 25, 2008, which establishes that from January 1, 2009, parents have the right to use maternity capital to obtain a mortgage loan, regardless of the period that has passed since the birth or adoption of a second or more children.

Step 3

Select a bank that has a maternity capital mortgage program. The fact is that not all credit organizations work with this type of mortgage. The next nuance is that you cannot get maternity capital in your hands, it can be transferred by the Pension Fund to your credit current account in the bank, and then only after the full rights to the purchased property are received. Thus, you need to go through the standard procedure for applying for a mortgage, or use the options offered by a bank that has sufficient experience in working with parent capital.

Step 4

Write to the Pension Fund a statement on the right to dispose of maternity capital funds for a mortgage after you go through the entire procedure for registering the acquired real estate. Submit the original certificate; identity passport; a copy of the mortgage agreement; a certificate from the bank about the amount of the balance of the mortgage debt; a certificate of ownership of the purchased dwelling. You may also need some other documents, about which check with the Pension Fund. A special commission considers the application within 1 month. In case of a positive decision, the maternity capital will be transferred within another 1 month to pay off the mortgage debt.
