Step 1
Before making a purchase, regardless of manufacturer and source, choose a method of delivery. This can be a postal or courier service, as well as delivery by a groupage container. The latter method will be the most profitable from a financial point of view, but it will take more time. As a rule, the cost of delivery by this method also includes customs clearance, the cost of which is calculated based on the weight of the cargo.
Step 2
If you are buying clothes for personal use, make sure that your purchase does not show signs of a commercial batch. Do not buy more than 2 of the same items, and do not choose clothes in size ranges, even if they differ in color. Regardless of the delivery method, the weight of a single purchase should not exceed 29 kg. If your purchase does not meet these requirements, the conditions for customs clearance will differ significantly.
Step 3
In the case of purchasing a commercial consignment of clothing, contact the customs authority in order to register as a participant in foreign economic activity. Submit your application and copies of statutory documents. Sign a brokerage contract.
Step 4
Enter into a contract with the supplier (manufacturer) of the garment. Determine the date of dispatch and the method of transportation (railway, air or auto). Choose a transport company that will deliver your goods, conclude a contract with it and provide the necessary information about the nature of the goods.
Step 5
Before the cargo crosses the Russian border, submit a package of documents allowing you to receive a preliminary declaration. It includes: • contract with the supplier and specification; • transaction passport; • payment documents; • product characteristics; • certificate of conformity; • Chinese export declaration. To obtain a preliminary declaration, copies of these documents certified by the seal of your organization are enough. However, before the immediate release of the goods, the customs may also require the originals.
Step 6
Pay the required fees and charges. To date, the size of the customs rate on the import of clothing from China is about 10%. At the same time, the amount of the paid duty should not be lower than 3-5 euros per kilogram, depending on the type of clothing. After payment, the customs inspector will decide on the release of your cargo.
