On September 1, 2011, in some regions of Russia, the Federal Law No. 69 "On the transportation of passengers and baggage by passenger taxis" came into effect. In this regard, before you start working in a taxi for yourself, you need to find out if your region is on the list of those where this law is already in force.

Instructions

Step 1

Read the Federal Law No. 69 "On the carriage of passengers and baggage by passenger taxis" and find out if you should obtain permits for the implementation of taxi driver services privately. The list of regions in which this law is already in force includes: Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk and Penza regions, Altai Territory and the Komi Republic.

Step 2

Register with the tax authorities as an individual entrepreneur (or, if you plan to further expand your business and open a taxi service, a legal entity). Get your registration documents. In addition, you will need to issue travel coupons at the tax office.

Step 3

Prepare your vehicle. To do this, go through MOT, solve all the problems with the insurance, set the alarm and equip the taxi driver's security system (steering lock, ignition, etc.). Be sure to install a taximeter (meter). Please note: if you do not put a checkered flashlight on your car or decorate it with the appropriate airbrushing, indicating that passenger transportation is carried out on this car, you may be fined.

Step 4

Order business cards from an advertising agency with your full name, USRN data and mobile phone number. By the way, it is best if you have another mobile phone - especially for work, and its number is six or seven digits, for easy memorization. Get a physical check-up at your local health center.

Step 5

Contact the local administration's Department of Transportation for a license to carry passengers and baggage. There is no state duty for the license. You will be asked to provide the following documents: - a certified copy of the passport: - certified copies of the vehicle registration certificate in your name; - extracts from the USRIP / USRLE; - a certificate from the tax office on registration; - documents confirming the presence of your own parking lot or garage; - medical certificate.

Step 6

Within 3 days you will receive a license, which will be valid for 5 years, provided that you comply with all the requirements for a private taxi.
