Such a phenomenon as a supermarket of children's goods no longer surprises residents of large Russian cities. But not every entrepreneur will be able to open a retail outlet of this scale. Therefore, for a start, it is better to limit yourself to a small "children's store" and think about what you need to do to just get a start in this kind of business.
It is necessary
- 1. Premises
- 2. Commercial equipment (in accordance with the format of the store)
- 3. Sales and administrative staff (2 - 4 people)
- 4. Package of documents, cash registers
Instructions
Step 1
Select the category of "baby products" that will be presented in your store. This can be clothes, toys, products for newborns, or anything that "expectant mothers" need. Each of these groups of goods will be enough for a small store, but to combine several of them at one point, you will need an area of considerable size.
Step 2
Find a premise for a future children's goods store, which is better to rent at the beginning. If there is a free space of suitable size inside another store or shopping center, then this option is also quite acceptable.
Step 3
Decide how your children's store will be organized, and in accordance with this, select the necessary commercial equipment. Even if your outlet is for now only a department inside a large store, it is better to give preference to the self-service format. Modern stores of children's things are almost all arranged so that both parents and children themselves can look up close and hold goods in their hands as much as they want.
Step 4
Find staff for your baby store. You will need at least one or two sales assistants, preferably an administrator and - also preferably - an accountant, possibly part-time. The main requirement for sellers is, of course, to be “in touch” and find a common language with those who represent the target audience of your store.
Step 5
Take care of compliance with the "letter" of the law - prepare the necessary constituent and initial permitting documentation, purchase and register one or more cash registers. In order not to suffer from the formal side of the matter, it must be treated with a share of respect.
