Please note that currently, an individual working in an appraisal company under a contract or as an individual entrepreneur can be involved in the assessment. Currently, it is not necessary to obtain a license for the right to engage in appraisal activities. However, the responsibility for the quality of the assessment has increased. If earlier the appraisal company was deprived of a license for one year for a low-quality appraisal, now the appraiser who performed the work with violations will not be able to work in this area.

But remember that all evaluators must be affiliated with one of the Self-Regulatory Organizations (SROs). To join it, you must meet the requirements of the law. When joining an SRO, you must pay an entrance fee and a contribution to the compensation fund (at least 30 thousand rubles). When opening an appraisal company, please note that its staff must include at least two appraisers. Currently, it is the customers who set the requirements for the appraisal companies. For example, banks work only with appraisers accredited by them, which means that you will have to adapt to them.
