Private taxi is used by many as an additional way to make money with their car. The competition in this business is high, and the quality of services is often poor. Therefore, in order to regulate the market of private cabs, from September 1, 2011, the government introduced licensing of this type of entrepreneurial activity.

Instructions
Step 1
Before obtaining a private driver's license, bring your vehicle into compliance with the new law. It must be owned by the owner or the company. Purchase and install a taximeter integrated with a cash register. Attach a special orange "taxi" lantern to the roof, and put "checkers" on the body. Make sure your driving experience is at least 5 years and you can verify it.
Step 2
According to the new legislation, taxi drivers are required to undergo an inspection at least once every 6 months. Go through it if necessary. Consider where you will get your medical check-up before the start of each work day.
Step 3
Register with the tax authority at your place of residence as an individual entrepreneur or any other form of legal entity. Open a bank account and prepare receipt forms (if there is no cash register).
Step 4
After all the preparatory procedures, form a package of documents for obtaining the license itself. It includes: an application for a license, a list of rolling stock (even if it consists of one car), a registration certificate with a mark on the passage of MOT, a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, a certificate of registration of a legal entity, a medical certificate, a parking agreement or a document on owning one's own garage, a repair contract or a service book for a car, a copy of a driver's license with at least 5 years of experience.
Step 5
Submit the collected package of documents to the Rostransnadzor body and in return receive an inventory of the documents received from you. Within 30 days, the employees of this department will make a reasoned decision to issue or not issue a license. At the end of the 30-day period, report to the designated authority in person or send your representative with a power of attorney to obtain a license.
