Grocery shopping is a daily necessity. According to research, about a third of the family budget is spent on purchasing food. Upon returning home, many are surprised to discover an interesting fact: the money has been spent, and the bags are filled with all sorts of nonsense, which it is quite possible to do without. How to save money by going to the grocery store?
Instructions
Step 1
Examine the contents of the refrigerator. Note that there is still more that is used more and more. Place the leftovers of previously purchased foods in a prominent place, so they will be eaten faster.
Step 2
List foods. Do not buy food that you find on the shelves. They will most likely deteriorate as well.
Step 3
Eat ahead of time. Always shop well-fed. The aromas of food provoke hungry visitors to buy everything.
Step 4
Leave the children at home. With them, no savings on products will work. Kids will be delighted to throw various goodies into the basket. Among such an abundance, they simply cannot resist, so it is better to buy products without them.
Step 5
Determine in advance the amount you are willing to spend. Get in the habit of calculating the approximate total cost of the items in your shopping cart so you don't get too much.
Step 6
Take a basket at the store. When using the cart, it will seem to you that there are still few products. The basket holds less, with its weight reminding you to take only the products you need.
Step 7
Do not buy promotional items. Stick to the list strictly. Most often, stores arrange promotions for goods that are less in demand or have expired.
Step 8
Take goods from the lower shelves. Marketers lay out the most expensive products at human eye level. Below or above the middle shelves is a product that is in no way inferior in quality, but is much cheaper.
