Choose a bank that is convenient for you and has a license for such activities. Please note that the bank has the right to open only one foreign currency account in the currency of your choice, or several accounts for certain types of foreign currencies.
Step 2
Prepare the documents required to open a foreign currency account. As a rule, this requires the same set of documents as when opening a regular current account: notarized copies of constituent documents; certificate of state registration; a card with samples of signatures of officials of the organization; print imprint; documents confirming the powers of officials; a copy of the document on the inclusion of a legal entity in the EDRPO. The Bank has the right, if necessary, to request other necessary documents.
Step 3
With the package of collected documents, contact the appropriate banking institution. An application form for opening a foreign currency account will be given to you at the bank, it must be signed by the head of the enterprise (organization) and the chief accountant. In the absence of the position of chief accountant, only the manager signs the application.
Step 4
After checking the documents, the bank decides to open a foreign currency account. Each foreign currency account corresponds to a foreign currency transit account, where the bank credits the proceeds in favor of the client. Therefore, it is the number of the transit currency account that should be indicated in the bank details of the organization.
Step 5
If you plan to open a foreign exchange account for foreign trade operations, consult a bank specialist in advance, since operations on foreign exchange accounts are regulated by foreign exchange legislation.
