Find a suitable exchange office. When choosing it, pay attention to several factors. Therefore, law enforcement agencies recommend contacting only banks located in stationary buildings, and not some kiosks. Another important criterion for choosing a place for currency exchange is the commission for a banking operation. Specify it in advance by phone or during a personal visit. After choosing a place for exchange, come there with your passport and money. Before that, it is better to clarify the official hryvnia exchange rate on the Central Bank website in order not to make an unfavorable exchange. Check if your hryvnia will be accepted in this particular bank. Keep in mind that usually only bills are exchanged. If you have a lot of coins, it makes sense to contact Sberbank for their exchange.
Step 5
Before the exchange, give the cashier your passport, after that - the hryvnia. In turn, the bank employee will return your passport to you, and will also issue rubles in an amount corresponding to the Ukrainian currency rate. Do not forget to also take a receipt, which will be a confirmation of the banking transaction.
