Able-bodied citizens recognized as unemployed are entitled to receive state unemployment benefits. The employment service at the place of residence can register a person as unemployed after providing the necessary documents. The amount of the allowance depends on the length of service and the amount of the citizen's earnings for the last 3 months of work.
Instructions
Step 1
The amount of the benefit is calculated based on the previous earnings prior to unemployment. To do this, the citizen must have a paid job on a full working week basis for 26 calendar weeks prior to the period of unemployment. Work weeks are calculated for the last 12 months.
Step 2
During the first 3 months after registration with the employment service, a citizen receives an allowance in the amount of 75% of his last earnings, after which the amount is reduced. Over the next 4 months, the payment is 60% of the salary, and then decreases to 45%. If a citizen has not found a job after 12 months, he is paid the minimum allowance. The duration of payments cannot exceed 24 calendar months in total.
Step 3
For citizens without seniority and work experience, a fixed amount of unemployment benefits (1 minimum wage) is established. An allowance in the amount of 1 minimum wage is received by citizens who are looking for work for the first time or return to work a year after their dismissal. Also, the minimum allowance is paid to former individual entrepreneurs and citizens dismissed for violations of labor discipline and the legislation of the Russian Federation.
Step 4
Payments are stopped, and a citizen is removed from the register at the employment service if, for a month or more, he did not appear at the employment service without a valid reason or tried to receive benefits illegally. Also, payments are terminated in case of death, moving to another region for permanent residence, receiving a pension, imprisonment or the appointment of correctional labor. A citizen can independently deregister by filling out an appropriate application of his own free will.
Step 5
Payments can be suspended for a period of up to 3 months if, within one payment period, a citizen has refused two job offers or has arbitrarily stopped training, to which he was sent by the employment service employees. Also, payments are suspended when they appear at the employment service while drunk.
