Banking institutions are developing rapidly, and with them the number and methods of money transfers are increasing. A similar operation can be performed from a payment card to a personal account or vice versa, as well as to other accounts. At the same time, the number of erroneous payments is also increasing.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the bank's customer support department. Do this as soon as you find an error. At the same time, if a mistake was made by you (the sender), then when transferring funds from one account or payment card to another current account, you will need to write an application for the return of the amount that was mistakenly debited from your account. Then wait for the results of the bank check.
Step 2
Proceed as quickly as possible, because the refund of the transferred funds by mistake can be made by the bank itself only until they reach the recipient's account. In turn, having entered the account of an unknown recipient, these funds will automatically belong to him. Therefore, without the consent of the account holder, money cannot be debited.
Step 3
Please note that if the funds have already been credited to the recipient's account and he does not want to return it voluntarily upon a call from the bank, then in this case the bank will offer you to independently resolve the issue that concerns the return of erroneously transferred funds.
Step 4
Go to court. This is a rather lengthy process, but in this case, you will certainly be able to get your money back. There is simply no other way to return funds if the recipient of the mistakenly transferred funds simply refuses to return them. After all, the bank has no right to provide you with information about the recipient of your erroneously transferred funds. This is why you simply cannot find it on your own.
Step 5
Write a statement about the return of your erroneously transferred funds. This is necessary if a disputable transaction has arisen and for this reason the transfer has not been credited to the current account specified by the sender. This is considered a technical mistake by the bank. After completing the check and identifying the error, the bank will make a "corrective entry" and return the lost funds to you.
