Kvs characterizes the flow capacity of the valve. The value shows the water flow when the valve is fully open. The value is obtained from the equation m3 / H, where H is the time interval (hour). The formula is valid if the valve is operating under normal conditions and the pressure drop does not exceed 1 bar.

Instructions

Step 1

For an accurate calculation of kvs, a special computer program is used that works according to a specific algorithm. Search the Internet for a counting utility and download it.

Step 2

Open the downloaded file using any application for working with archives (for example, WinRAR). Extract all files to the most convenient directory using the "Extract" button.

Step 3

Run the unzipped file. In the window that opens, for the Destination item, specify the directory where you want to extract. Click on the Finish button and wait for the operation to complete.

Step 4

Go to the directory where the utility was installed, run the executable file. In the upper right corner of the window that appears, select the application language (English). Next, select the valve system in which the calculation is made.

Step 5

In the Pipe connector field, you need to specify the type of pipe connection. The parameter Female screw thread / internal thread translates to "internal screw thread". Male screw thread / External thread indicates an external thread. Flange - flanged connection type.

Step 6

Under Valve range, select either Ball Actuator (first item) or open / close butterfly valve. For the first parameter, the type of ball valve actuator is indicated, with two or three outputs.

Step 7

In the next menu, enter the counting parameters. The Calculation unit field is the unit of measurement, Flow is the fluid flow, and Differential pressure is the applied pressure in Bar or kilopascals. After entering the parameters, click on the Show button. In the table, you will get the results of the calculation.
