Almost every pregnant woman is interested in information about what payments she is entitled to while waiting for the baby. In addition, many simply do not understand where the amounts accrued by the accounting department or paid by the social security authorities came from. Meanwhile, the calculation of maternity benefits is quite simple.
Instructions
Step 1
It should be noted that in addition to the maternity allowance, a woman is entitled to a one-time registration allowance in the early stages of pregnancy (up to 12 weeks). Its size in 2011 is 438 rubles. This allowance is available to women in formal employment, military service, as well as students and students. Unemployed women do not have the right to receive a lump sum benefit. It is paid at the place of work or study after providing the appropriate certificate from the antenatal clinic.
Step 2
In accordance with the legislation, all women are entitled to maternity benefits without fail. It is charged for vacation, which is 140 days (70 days before and 70 after childbirth). If the pregnancy is multiple, then maternity leave is 194 days (84 before and 110 after childbirth).
Step 3
The amount of the benefit is determined on the basis of the average monthly salary calculated for the last 24 months (730 days), excluding the month of the onset of maternity leave. This sums up the woman's taxable income, and then divides the result by 730. Thus, the average daily income is obtained, which is multiplied by the number of days of maternity leave. But at the same time, if a woman received an income of more than 415 thousand rubles a year, then the allowance will be calculated based on this. The employer can pay more than the amount due on his own initiative.
Step 4
If a pregnant woman has less than six months of work experience, then the amount of the benefit will be calculated based on one minimum wage. Women who receive income from more than one employer are eligible to receive benefits in no more than two locations.
Step 5
Women who did not have a job before the onset of maternity leave can receive an allowance at the rate of 412 rubles per month. In order for it to be credited, you should contact the social security authorities at the place of residence.
