The key file is a special file that is used to gain access to electronic wallets through the WM Keeper Classic program. It is issued upon registration in the system and is requested in case of reinstalling the operating system, changing technical parameters, logging in from another computer, etc.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch the WM Keeper Classic program. If you have lost your key file, it is recommended to save them again. To do this, select the "Tools / Program Options" item in the upper toolbar. A window will appear in which select the "Security" section. Find and click on the "Save Keys" button. Determine the location where the key file will be placed. It is advisable to store it on removable media. Enter the password for the key file that you provided during registration. Click the "Ok" button.
Step 2
Go through the recovery procedure if you have lost the key file or do not remember the access code to it. At the same time, the recovery method depends on the specific situation: your passport, wallet balance, data correctness, etc. In any case, first you need to go to key.wmtransfer.com, where you will be asked to enter your mobile phone number, WMID code or email. After that, you must follow the instructions.
Step 3
Receive the key file by e-mail after the end of the recovery procedure. The password for this file will be sent to your mobile phone. This is a security measure against intruders trying to hack other people's wallets. Save the keys on your computer. Install the latest version of WM Keeper Classic. Launch the program and click on the "Recovery" link at the bottom of the login window. Refer to the new key file and enter the password received in the SMS message.
Step 4
Write a written notarized statement to restore access to Webmoney wallets. Send it by mail or hand it in person to the Verification Center office. This procedure may be necessary if inaccurate or erroneous data were indicated during registration. Also, in some cases, it will be necessary to obtain a personal passport, so check the cost of this procedure in advance.
